LSM was founded by Trevor Emerson in 2006. The company, then known as Local Search Masters, initially focused on providing small businesses in the Nashville area with local search engine optimization. Based out of a kitchen and entirely self-funded, this early incarnation of LSM involved a lot of cold calls to local business owners. During these discussions, it became clear that being a SEO agency alone wasn’t enough: these companies needed extensive advertising and digital marketing solutions.
